One of my favorite WV Pinots in the past many months. Absolutely gorgeous, possessing weight without being sappy or heavy. Nice Pinot earth on the nose with darker berries. Perfect acidity. One more in the cellar!!!

PnP. Nose of dark cherries, forest floor, rose petals, and an old cinnamon stick. Palate provides an interesting mix of black cherry and high-pitched red fruits with cranberry, wet stones, and sappy fruit flesh. Tannins and iron start the finish, adding wild raspberry, fresh thyme, and loads of minerals over light baking spice and acidity.

Meh. Neither interesting or juicy. High quality and checking all the winning boxes but just not seeing the umami factor. Likely needs time as at this stage is just a good restaurant pour.

Lovely nose of opulent berries and flowers. Palate has this painfully sharp streak of acidity that makes me wince. Feels disjointedly high, but maybe I don't appreciate how the perception of acidity will be over a decade from now... 88 now, 89-90 if the acidity settles down?

Very different on the nose than the Sojeau I just tried - more “brooding”.
The acidity is a little more noticeable here, and slightly disjointed. Interesting, but hard to get a real bead on this wine at this point, at least from my perspective.
