The March 2022 note below, describes it well. In addition, we will say, lovely backbone acidity — and we didn’t notice any excessive heat, tho we are quite sensitive to that. Very enjoyable over three nights.

Very Burgundian in style for a California Pinot Noir. Light red color and light bodied, but packed with fruit flavor. Unobtrusive tannins and good acidity. Very drinkable now, but this wine has a long life ahead. Begs for one more sip. Slightly hot on the finish.

Popped and poured this one straight into glass. The nose is outwardly balanced between earthy tones and red fruit, cherries and cranberries. Drinking very well now and medium bodied and finished. A little pale reddish brown in the glass. Going to re-up next allocation.
Quite tart. Very Burgundian, not showing the typical California fruit. Tannin and acid dominate the palate now, but the fruit is there. I like the austerity, but suspect California wine lovers will like this better in a few years. Addendum: Even better on day 2. Fruit more evident. Gave it one more point.

Very surprised by how primary it isn't. I had to do a double-take on the label to make sure I hadn't accidentally opened a 2007. Hold this.
