Luscious fruit and semi-soft tannins after an hour decant. Should be even better in a year or two. I like the dark fruit notes and structure added by the 5% Cab Franc.

I aired the bottle for about an hour before this tasting.
This wine is a dark ruby. The meniscus is quite clear and defined... something I would expect from a wine a little older than 5 years old. Lots of thin, fast legs.
On the nose, I get darker red fruits, plumb, black raspberry, baking spices and mushroom.
On the palate, the red fruits burst forward on this medium bodied Bordeaux... sour cherry, red current, pomegranate, with some smokeiness, a little baked red apple and a hint of dark chocolate. The acids are strong and refreshing, and the tannins are balanced nicely with them. The finish is long.
I agree with what a lot of you have said here. This wine, for about $22USD as of this tasting, is very good value for the money. While this might be considered an entry level Bordeaux, it drinks like a much higher caliber wine.

Popped and poured. Solid, foursquare Bordeaux. Strong color, full aromas and red/black fruit, not rustic just decent, this does not scream complexity but it does represent a good value in Bordeaux, as it exhibits the correct profile without any flaws. You could do a lot worse for the money. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.
