Popped and poured. Really enjoyed this wine. Subdued, subtle nose of flowers and forest floor. Medium bodied, balanced, open knit and delicious. Red cherry, tea, herbs and spice come through. The wine is delicious but lack the drive for long aging. Best to drink in the next two to four years:

Total disapointment. red fruit, lacks balancing enouigh acid and tannin. really boring. no complexity. I would be disappointed at $20. At $65 its a tremendous disappointment. First wine from this producer I was not impressed with. Hope this is a one off wine.
The 2017 Porter-Bass Pinot Noir is mostly opaque pale ruby in color with hints of purple. This took a good hour to open up in the glass, with the nose showcasing aromas of red cherry, strawberry, blueberry, rose petal, forest floor, stemmy underbrush, crushed rock, flint, and mineral. On the palate, I get notes of dusty raspberry, dried cherry, crunchy pomegranate, plum, slightly stale licorice, violet, garden herbs, and stony mineral. This is light- to medium-bodied with medium acidity, medium (-) tannins, and a long finish. Gorgeous wine and very Burgundian in style, though 3 more years in the bottle will do it wonders.
100% Pinot Noir; 13.3% ABV

13.3% ABV Porter-Bass sits on a ridge between Mays & Pocket Canyons. Cane pruned, dry farmed. Forty percent whole clusters, 20% new oak for 16 months.
Upon opening red fruit jumps from the glass, this wains over 30-45 min, med bodied.
