Lost the sweetness now. Maybe last bottle was an abberation? Nice dtructure and drinking beautifully now. Great extraction & balance. I think a good time to drink.
No detailed notes, but I liked it… fruit forward, and yes… a tiny bit syrupy… but well put together, smooth tannins; a real pleasure with food or to dip. Sorry it was my last one 🥲

Decanted 90 minutes. Usually I’m a fan of Quivet Syrahs and not a fan of the Cabs. This wine could be 93-94 plus points but it is way too sweet of a fruit bomb Syrah. The winemaker should take a trip to Rhone and learn how to make Syrah. This is like an over ripe Paso like wine.
My wife thought it was fine but when I asked her what grape this wine was the first thing she said is it’s sweet. My palate just abhors this syrupy sweet stuff. It’s just not for me. My inventory says I have three more bottles. I hope not…The Las Madres Hulda Block is far better. I’m eating some spicy pistachios to try and balance the sweetness.

Very tasty but still so ripe and young. Very fruit forward with a touch of pepper. I didn’t get many of the savory characteristics that M Dogs mentioned in his review. Will be more focused when I taste the last glass tonight! A few years ago I read an article about young fruity Syrah being a good match for oysters. I couldn’t help thinking that would be an excellent pairing for this bottle. I might have to figure out how to make that happen with my next one (which I will likely hold for another year or two).

No official notes but at the $50 I paid for this it's tough to beat!
