Earthy, “lighter” style Zin, anti fruit-bomb, that makes it enjoyable to taste, better with food. This, thankfully, goes a different direction than the typical mass market Zin.

Didn't decant, but it definitely gained some weight and bigger flavors with a little time in glass. Redish purple color with slight translucence, not so dark that you can't see thru it. Distinct nose of cherry, raspberry, licorice and light vanilla; there's still some good heaton nose. Drinks like a medium bodied wine edging towards a little bigger. Bright red fruit up front on palate, raspberry, strawberry, cherries, and even a little ripe blueberry; very Smooth up front. Gains some black pepper and baking spices as it builds in mouth. Tight tannins build up towsrds finish. Licorice and light tobacco adds to back end. This really hangs on back of palate. It's gotten a slight more smooth and a bit more red fruit with a little time in bottle. Definitely has some more time to lay down.

Nice earthy taste for a zin. Not your typical zin as it’s missing the bold juicy component. But has more of a cab feel without the heavy tannins. Nice wine.

No decant. Soft with decent tannins and fruit. Just not my preferred style.

Afrutado. La adicion de Petite Syrah le confiere una complejidad interesante, sin ser abrumador.
