One hour slow ox. Tart cinnamon-laden black cherry cobbler, dried fig, leather, and mushroom. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with lingering, satiny acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

Why am I so low in the score...ok, I'll just agree with everyone else, except on scoring. Most of the other notes have mentioned the aromas and palate character of the wine (I agree) but the slightly elevated acidity and tannins (maybe more aging)...ok as I write this I am changing score from 89 to 90.

90 min decant. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Blackberry, stewed black cherry, freesia, fudge, saltine cracker, and mushroom on the nose. Smooth, dry, full bodied palate, with pillowy acidity. Soft, round tannins on the longish finish.
This is drinking very nicely, but my wife thought it was too rich and thick. For me, it could have used more acid and tannins to sharpen things up.

Deep and dark purple in the glass, nose of blue and black fruits, and plenty of red and blue fruit on the palate. I am very mediocre at blind tasting, but I’d call this a Napa cab all day. Really enjoyable. We poured in a decanter, then poured our glasses, and it was fantastic. Not overly complex or tertiary, and certainly all primary fruit flavors, but super tasty, and a great crowd pleasing wine, without being overly sweet or extracted. So while not a caymus or close to it, maybe a wine drinker’s typical fruity Napa cab - which I love. I’m glad I have one more, plus a 2016 on the way. I think this winery makes a top 10 rose from California (100% cab rose) and has good Sauv Blanc, and now I am a fan of their cab. I’m looking forward to following along as they replant and start over with their estate vines.

Gifted this by Agelvis a while back......spent the evening with HMC here and as he poured a couple of bottles, I opened this one.
At the pnp, a tad thin, red fruited, well-made but rather indistinct. Hours 2-3 were a different story altogether. Heavier, thicker in the glass.....darker red, black cherry fruit. Light on its feet yet powerful at the same time. Tannins are integrating very well. Some cassis and slight graphite emerge. I am amazed at how well this bottle plays out over time with air. Very nice! Ty, J!
I don't know what LPB was drinking that day when she reviewed it, but this is NOT an 87 point cab, no way, no how.
