Medium ruby red. Vice nice Russian River Pinot. Cherry, raspberry flavors with a touch of earthiness. Decanted for 1 hour. Paired very well with pan seared duck breast with a brandied cherry reduction.

14.5% alcohol. Medium ruby red color. The red-fruit nose featured all of the high points of a well made Russian River pinot noir - cherry, sassafras, raspberry, and a touch of earthy funk. The very ripe palate was slightly sweet, but not horribly so, with ample bing cherry and raspberry coupled with balanced acidity to make this a complete wine. The finish is long and pleasing with a rush of pure cherry. It was a terrific pairing with beef bourguignon as the acidity and fruit married well with the richness of the beef and the slight sweetness of the carrots. Overall, this was well received by experienced and novice wine drinkers, so I would call it a true success.

Classic Russian River Valley Single vineyard Pinot. Clear, medium dark, ruby red color. 14.5 ABV. Nice PN aroma intensity of dark cherry, clove, a hint of cola and root beer, not much earthiness. Mouth-filling, medium plus mouthfeel with a lovely silky texture, Medium++ acidity, lots of grip and lift, really mouth coating, smooth tannins, cherry and blue fruit flavors, and a hint of earth in the taste, with an extended, balanced (still lots of mouth watering acidity) finish. The wine needs 3-5 years more to completely balance out. The fruit will last.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Initially a little too light/thin with strong sweet notes. However, more time did wonders as some depth, acid, and cherry fruit kicked in. After a rough start, it finished strong, almost a 90.
