A cab sauv dominant true Bdx blend of all 5 royal grapes: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 4% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. Highly recommend. Fully mature and fully integrated. Drink or hold - probably no real upside to further cellaring but on the other hand with proper cellaring this wine has years to go. Just an outstanding wine from the Atlas Peak area of Napa Valley. Would recommend at least an hour decant if possible. Dark, initially brooding but opened up quickly, no bricking, full bodied, good mouth feel, muscular core - this wine will not be confused for anything Old World - and a long lingering aftertaste. Once it opened up the nose was dark, aromatic and explosive with plum, tar, grilled meat and smoke. Balanced oak, dark stone fruit and classic cassis up front with coffee, smoked meats, leather and cigar box on the mid- late palate.

This one surprised me. I've had mixed results from this vintner. Really nice red blend. Deep, dark, inky purple. Well balanced. Dark cherry, blackberry, herbal notes. Smoky sweet finish. Drinking very well now, but will try to save my next bottle for 2022. This is a very solid 2014 red blend. Good stuff.

Ruby with opaque center and big colorful legs; nose of raspberry and pine; palate follows nose with tar, but is tangy and muddy; medium mouthfeel; disappointing
