This bottle showed some evidence of leakage when the foil was removed; however, the cork came out normally (though was 3/4 soaked through). Nonetheless, this was a beautiful bottle of 2013 Rhys Swan Terrace. Lovely fruit that avoided lushness by a refreshing minerality. Delectable nose.

PNP. Restrained nose of black cherry, plum and baking spice. Crisp, saline infused palate, very Burgundian with a drying, chalky texture.

2-3 hours of decanting needed. Elegant and complex wine. Good minerality. Will get better with more time in the cellar.

The wine really opened up after 5 hours of decanting. Started tasting it after initial 3 hours of decanting and it just kept opening up more.
