i found this more dense and full bodied than many of the CT TN's. This bottle, purchased on release, showed much younger than its 16+ years. Raspberry liqueur, mushrooms, asian spice. Biting; seemed to be a combination of the alcohol and acidity, but the dense fruit needed that. Not bad for their second vintage.

This is about the secondary characters now. The just doesn't seem to have had the heft the open into something more interesting. But there are lovely pine, iron and mineral notes to keep you interested. Surprisingly stout lengthy tannin. The acidity is just right, carrying things along without tartness. The stemminess takes over some on night two. Drink now and be prepared for something that has a good deal in common with a mature Burgundy.

This bottle was the real deal. Fantastic nose and palate complexity. Still a bit stemmy, but integrating now rather than dominating. Excellent to Outstanding.

Poured off a glass for an hour and drank over 5 hours. A bit fruity at first. Then, integrated nicely to more even complexity. A bit more rustic towards the end. Finish is a bit clipped and maybe time will help. Wait at least 5-10 years for my other.

Delicious dark cherry, earth, and mushroom on the nose and savory palate with a long finish. Simply delicious!
