14.7% abv. Recent purchase from WineBid. Saw this for $10 on WineBid, so I took a flyer, and wasn't expecting much. Well, this greatly exceeded my expectations, to say the least. Not sure what this producer's style is like, but this seemed like a pretty restrained version of Zin. Nose was nice and had a hint of bramble, but was pretty tight. On the palate, this was pretty tight at first but only took 10 or 15 minutes in glass to open up. There was a nice core of focused fruit, pure and Zinny, not jammy at all and no oak signature that I could detect. Still seems pretty structured as well. This continued to open up and improve through dinner and went exceedingly well with schnitzel with pepper cream sauce, mashed potatoes, and steamed cauliflower. I don't know how this was in its youth, but I found this to be drinking incredibly well right now and I think it should hold for a while yet. Very well made wine and a refreshing change from the standard fruit bomb Turley style Zin. Loved this.

This is a very good Pop and pour. Really faded after about an hour. Nice acidity and mouthfeel. Brickish color. Probably past its prime
