Essentially same notes as 2022 bottle. This needs to breath for an hour or two to start to really show. Has good legs and should be great for a few more years.

Needs to be open at least a half hour before it starts to show its goodness. Then it starts revving its dark fruit engine, along with an earthiness and spiciness and tannic backbone that is simply wonderful.

When I had a bottle of this 20 months ago it was very good (88), but it has skyrocketed. This is a full blown outstanding barbaresco. The nose is rich and deep with tar and floral notes that keep on giving along with an element of menthol. The palate is dark, full of juicy nebbiolo fruit, with a bit of spice, significant acidity and serious hit of tannins that give an extra tingle. If this is how the rest of the case goes, it will be a fabulous QPR.

(Tintero Barbaresco) Shipping REMINDER: This is the final reminder that our spring shipping window is beginning to open now, and we’ll be sending out shipments as different areas of the country reach appropriate temperatures. A few notes for our shipping list members: 1. During our open shipping window, *we ship wine as it is confirmed (in 12-bottle increments)* as long as those shipments do not lead to delivery-date conflicts with dates blocked off in the Shipping Calendar tab of your online account. 2. Please check your shipping address. Please make sure the shipping address in your Full Pull account is correct, and it’s an address where an adult will be present to sign for your packages. 3. Please update your shipping calendar. The Shipping Calendar tab is part of your online account. Within that tab, you can block off any dates where you *do not* wish to receive shipments. ---- Hello friends. This month’s slate of reoffers comes from the killer Bs of Italy: Barbaresco, Brunello, and Barolo. All three were autumn/winter offers, so many of you who purchased on initial offer have had a chance to see what all the fuss is about. And no surprise: all three have been popular reorder targets since.See key for # of bottles currently available.
(Tintero Barbaresco) Hello friends. We have the new vintage today of what has become our list’s mainstay Barbaresco: the beguiling bottling from Tintero. It’s perfect timing, too, because autumn is peak Barbaresco season when it comes to cooking. Consider this: a bubbling pot of polenta on the stove; an oven full of warm, slowly braising meat; chanterelles and lobsters and other assorted mushrooms cooking down in a pan; and a glass of Nebbiolo at the ready. Dreamy, right? Nebbiolo is what autumn days were made for. At $20, decent Barbaresco is practically impossible to source. Tintero is the exception, not the rule. Over the years, we’ve learned to jump on this wine when we can, and it’s become a list favorite because of that. This vintage is tasting better than ever, so we’ve basically cornered the market for this wine in Seattle and pre-purchased the entire remaining parcel. This puppy is already in the warehouse and rarin’ to go once ordered.See key for # of bottles currently available.

A modest Barbaresco. Clean, honest, but not outstanding in its qualities.
