This is a bold Pinot Noir. It tricks you with a subtle nose of floral notes, perfume and red fruit. But then on the palate, it wallops you with cherry, strawberry, and sweet raspberry, with hints of plum, soy sauce, quinine, dark chocolate, earth, leather and the faintest touch of black pepper and licorice. Long finish full of fruit and earth. Good balance right now, if you just like a touch of tannin and acidity with your juicy fruit. If someone told me it was a light Syrah-Granache, I'd probably believe it, but it also shows some delicate Pinot qualities.

A syrupy, gloppy mess. If you like Pinots on the sweet and fat side, this is for you. Will use the rest to braise a beef shank.

Showing some nice shiitake and soy sauce notes to go with the fruit on the nose and palate.
