Extraordinary deep purple color in the glass. On the palate, dark blackberry and black cherry fruit that is tart at this point, tobacco and some oak. Bright aromatic nose, ample tannins along with an intense core and and flavors that need some time to develop. An elegant red that will go nicely with food (a juicy medium well N.Y. Steak). I tasted the 2012 vintage and I liked that vintage better as a pop and pour. I would hold this wine on the rack for awhile.

I agree with Yackman, except for 2 things: (1) the fruit is no longer tart as it's all come together nicely, and, (2) I like my steak medium rare :)
