P: Med, poss MF, body; Nice frt on front met by off-setting acidity; Balanced, LONG, very slightly firm finish. P: MF body with an almost round entry, though acidity QUICKLY kicks in; Good length with only the slightest astringency. Drinking VERY nicely right now -- & should hold for 2-3 yrs more min due to the acidity. Should be OUTSTANDING with food because of its combo of fruit WITH acidity!

N: Closed; Smoke, iron/animal blood, berries? Poss choc?

Sat, 10/15/16, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: Smoke & earth atop berries, with other unidentifiable aromas emerging with air
