  A terrific wine and it’s great now and has plenty of life ahead. I suspect that we preferred the 2013 Factor we had last weekend which surprised me as I generally prefer Eden Valley over Barossa.

  Drank this at Torbreck tasting dinner.
  relatively unique shiraz in my opinion due to noticeably higher acid content in this wine compared to the other torbreck shiraz was less plush and opulent overall. The ambassador described it as a shiraz with restraint and I would agree with him. Although it wasn't my favorite in the line up it was a interesting alternative express of shiraz given by Torbreck. Would be interesting to try this 5 years later.

  Torbreck sydney cellar door June '16: This has a deep and brooding smokiness about it. I didn't note further specifics, apart from circling it on my sheet as one of three wines I enjoyed. It's the 100% Eden Valley shiraz, so a fair indication of my preference for purity over power. Glad I've got a '12 stashed away.
