What a gorgeous wine. I should have cellared this one longer as I imagine it will just keep getting better. But gorgeous tonight. Dark fruit, a little tart, very alluring all 'round with a nice lengthy finish.

Red Nd black cherry throughout with ripe and tart notes, faintly meaty and spicy. Very good length and weight, but even getter balance, this has just enough Old World charm to complement its New World exuberance. Very good now.

My first tasting after extended time in the bottle. Beautiful wine in the mid phase of the drinking window. Mature fruit with soft tannins combines for complex and lush quality on the palate. Medium finish. My original end of drinking window of 2026 is solid, but you could consider going a few more years.

Beautiful Pinot noir from Drouhin in Oregon. This is the top wine of Domaine Drouhin. The 2013 is less expressive than the 2012, 2006 and 2008, but still a beauty. A wonderfully elegant nose of violets and brambles. The mouthfeel is soft with well integrated tannins and flavors of black cherries, blackberries. With time in the glass, a surprisingly strong and friendly presence. Enjoyed with some cheese and crackers.

A gorgeous wine. Ready to go on opening! Mellowed a bit as the evening wore on, I think I liked it better right when I popped it.
