I could rave about the outstanding value of the wine but i don't. It drinks like a benchmark yarra pinot and that's what it is, value or not. Closed at the start as you would expect; opens up upon fresh cranberries, sour cherrie and sweet strawberries. Fruit gets balance from a popping acidity that carries through the mid palate, right where a powdery tannic framework carries the finish. It is just so well made, delicious, inviting, never boring. Needs time in the glass and in the bottle. Will peak probably at its 5th birthday and plateau alike.

Initial attack is closed, acidic - cranberries and sour cherries. Some air opens it up to ripe raspberries, strawberries with slight sappiness and a dusting of cinnamon spice. Acid is ever present, balanced and tannins are powdery and not overbearing. Silky, supple texture and medium long finish. Lacks some concentration for me - flavours painted in watercolour, to quote a borrowed line.

Just bought these so wanted to give one a whirl. Just did a crack and pour which didn't do justice. Initially very closed and a bit acidic, this quickly settled into a very enjoyable young pinot with hints of savoury charactersitics that will show upon ageing. Incredible value

Mount Mary & Wickhams Road (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Strawberry and raspberry, sweet spice, a certain wet stone quality…the fruit carries to the palate initially but it finishes short and bitter. Meh. Young vines?
