Extracted, superior wine. Would not pair with food so you could enjoy the fruit: plum, raisins, blackberry. This is an inky wine. Not for the faint of heart. FYI: drink now.

1 of 4 shiraz/syrahs served blind for wine tasting for 6. Deep garnet to purple. This came in 3rd overall and was one person's favorite. Nose of blackberries but also significant cedar and some green/earthen notes. Most "woodsy" (particularly cedar) of the 4 wines. Also, most full bodied of the four. Excellent QPR at about $45.

We love this style of thick chewy unctuous forward fruit, blackish inky purple colored, full bodied, rich concentrated core of black and blue fruits give way to a layer of vanilla, spice, and a hint of what Lewis calls 'bacon fat', and a bit of alcohol heat that softens over the course of the evening, finishing with tongue coating tannins.
This was great with the hearty cheeses and beef as well as the fresh fruits and birthday cake dessert!

plum and hoisin suace, ripe blackberry and grilled meat -this is a super rich wine with just enough balance of minerality to stay lively

Lots of toast to the nose. EXTRACTED. Nose shows some ABV. This is the bourbon of wine. Blueberry pie palate. Obviously, super silky palate.
