Normally not a fan of Pinot Blanc, but oh was this moreish. Somewhat muted nose of pear, candy floss, and peonies had me expecting the usual flabby disappointment. The palate was a pleasant surprise. Ripe green fruits with a sweetshop edge balanced by a really textural minerality in the mid palate. How the finish went on! Great apertific and a star example of the variety.

Almost exactly as expected from previous vintages, showing a nice consistency. A rich and concentrated, very correct Pinot Blanc. A bit rustic with flavors of skins, seeds and stems behind the Citrus and stone fruit. The extra bottle age of this 2013 has nicely matured the still vibrant, fresh fruit, while also integrating those shale, earthy flavors. Some apricot and peach pit on the palate. Nice touch of mild frizzante. Honey and nectarine with citrus on the very crisp and lingering finish.

Stone fruit with some minerality and enough brightness to stand up to a charcuterie plate.
