I guess this bottle got lost in my cellar, because I would of drank it earlier, but it was a pleasant surprise. It has mellowed out alot since I drank my other bottle back in 2007. The alcohol is not nearly as intense now and it has mellowed considerably and seems quite balanced now. Aromas of citrus and pear, very chardonnay-like. Flavors of pear, honey dew melon, some minerally-stone-like qualities. Slightly tart, but much mellowed from a couple of years ago. Not too bad actually for a past-due bottle of Pinot Blanc. Pared with Roasted Atlantic Cod w/Roasted Asparagus.

Served at 43°F (6°C). Very pale yellow & gold in color. Floral nose adds orange skin, lemon, and alcohol. The palate shows watery floral, peach and citrus at first. As the fruit flavors disappear, a sharp, spicy minerality appears, leading to a stinging, weirdly salty finish. Nothing particularly funky in my bottle, but the alcohol is too high. The label claims only 12.5% alcohol, but that can't be accurate. Avoid, even at US$14.

Clear/golden appearance. Aroma of pear, alcohol and melon. Flavor of pear, sharp up front, but muted finish. Sweet melon, finishes quick and dry. Medium alcohol presence. A very pleasurable citrusy, tangy zing to it. Paired nicely with fresh grilled tilapia.

Still drinking well. Perfect pairing for Asian food with some spice some sweetness.
