Community Tasting Notes (4) Median Score: 90 points

  • NOSE: Rich, buttery, almost Chardonnay like. Fresh lime fruit, grapey, minerality. Also some cut grass and gooseberry notes. Super clean and fresh. (89-90p)
TASTE: Lovely fruity arrival with sweet lime and lemon. Very fruity and grapey. Juicy. Medium bodied with a hint of sweetness. Behind this there’s a steely acidity. Lovely stuff. (90-91p)
OVERALL: Still fairly young and fruit forward after 6 years, this wine reminds me as much of the best clean and grapey Muscats as of typical SauvBlancs. It has enough fruit and acidity to last several years but I’m not sure that it will develop more complexity. If not, then perhaps better drink it over the next few years, while the fruit is still fresh and vibrant? TOTAL SCORE 90 points.

  • A nice surprise, I was not expecting much from this as I was buying it more because it was the first wine I had seen available from Slovenia in my area. Pear is dominant on the nose, the pallet was pear up front but the acid cut any sweetness and added some nice length. Great balance, This would be a solid food wine, I highly recommend it particularly if you like the dryer whites. very high QPR

  • Nose: Fresh, almost intense, smell of gooseberry and grass, as well as cat pee (but the "nice" version) and white melon.
Taste & palate: fruity, zesty. Mouth watering acidity, a lot of minerality. Light to medium light body.
Drinking very well now as a light and refreshing wine. Based on the fresh acidity, the fruit vs acidity balance as well as the minerality I would assume a 4-5 year further cellaring potential, expecting it to gain body into at least a medium bodied wine (Drink 2015-2020).

  • Pale lemon color. Medium intensive nose with notes of elderflower, spices, tomato leaf and lychee. Dry with a shock wave of acidity, medium (+) flavor intensity, medium (+) aftertaste. Very balanced wine which is recommended to drink in 2-3 years.
