2017 Chassange Montrachet Rouge Blind: Pronounced nose intensity with notes of white flora, citrus, lemon, pear, apple. High acidity and balanced on palate. Drinking well now. Will improve with ageing.

Stone fruit is in a duel for first chair with notes of graphite and river rock. Aromatically intellectual and tranquil. Gun flint awakens the senses with every whiff. Wonderful depth and texture. This wine has the “X” factor that I seek. If I could, I would drink this over all domestic chards with the exception of Aubert. Amazing juice.

Very light, bright gold color. Alluring and exotic on the nose - lime & yuzu zest, crushed rock & sandstone, spices like gingerbread and tea leaf, white florals. Very fine and precise on the palate, with bright, chiseled citrus flavors and a melange of secondary layers consistent from the nose. Serious core density with lifted well-wrapped acid and fine texture. Finishing with good length, vivid flavors accented with a touch of pleasing bitterness. Excellent. Very young. Recommend a decant.

Good grief, what a fantastic white Burg. Very elegant, hits all the notes. White fruit, citrus, minerality, even a smoky note. Wish I had a dozen!

Hints of lemon, anice, vanilla and some subtle smoke. Mineral palette, nicely balanced. Quite persistent in aftertaste. Very nice bottle.
