High/Low Blind Tasting III (Amy and Scott's house): This wine screams "super oaked California chardonnay". Your level of enjoyment is likely determined by how well you appreciate (or don't) that style. Quite a lot of golden fruit remains, tons of butterscotch, it seems to be aging nicely and I don't see any reason to hold longer. Served blind against a <$30 white burgundy, this was perferred by 9 out of 11 people.

High/Low Blind Tasting III (Eagan, MN): High Low Tasting: Ok it was clear this was more expensive but big on the oak. A rich wine with oak, Carmel, spices, apple, vanilla and minerals. Long finish with some heat. Probably would be much better on day 2 and 3 it is still really young. 91+

Popped and poured. A great bottle of this unique wine. Medium bodied, silky, concentrated but reasonably light on its feat. Has aged gracefully and shows interesting complexity without feeling over the hill. Orchard fruit, citrus, crushed rocks. Great length on the finish.

(tasted blind) Caramel apple, vanilla, toast and an oyster shell character on the nose. Palate is powerful, rich, toasty/buttery with a surprising sweetness. Some notes of lemon custard. Was surprised to see how old it was, felt more youthful.
Not really my kind of wine, and probably some personal bias getting in the way. Maybe in an objective sense this deserves a higher score.
