A nicely aged Bordeaux blend from the Adelaide Hills. It is a rather lean wine for those who like their wines more in the new world style. However, it is plenty complex and nuanced when you consider the great value at $28 (us $).

Good nose, but little disappointing on the palate. On the nose, lots of juicy black berries with an undertone of juicy raspberries and cherries, leather, coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate, dry earth. On the palate, fruits become juicier, chewy medium plus tannins, full body, medium plus acidity, little volatile and all of the place on the palate.
Pair with BBQ'ed NY steak.
I expected more from this TOP notch and consistent producer. Give some of their others a try first.
LCBO - $30, drinks more like a 20

Colour is a deep plum red with very slight bricking. Earthy nose of toasted oak, tar and dust. Dry red, lingering tannins and solid acid.

Fruit forward, exhuberant nose, multiple layers coming from the 4 grape varieties. Long finish and at its peak as tanins and oak are well integrated.
