Opened with rack of lamb, this excellent pinot pours a deep red, with smoky notes of soy, dark cherry and plum. Toasty notes melt over the smooth, lush palate, with delightful fruit. Medium to full body, but not too big. Day two + under vac-u-vin, this has darkened and molted into a brooding plum stew with charcoal and sweet molasses notes. A nice showing.

PnP. More aromatic than 2 years ago with loads of cherry, strawberry, and forest floor. Palate is soft and round with evident fruit intensity, low acidity and soft tannins. Slight heat. Not much finesse or intensity. Very lush, beautiful fruit flavors, but no mineral spine.

14.1% alcohol. This has really come together as a complete wine now. Dark cherry color. Aromatic nose of flower-laced black cherry and baking spice. In the mouth, round but retaining linear focus, with tasty black cherry fruit, floral notes, spice, and bright acidity. Gentle finish that leaves a very positive lingering impression. A-

14.1% alcohol. Dark red color. Slightly reticent nose initially, showing some oak, black cherry, and flowers. In the mouth, riper than the Inman Family but charming. Lots of black cherry fruit, flowers, spice, and excellent acidity. Long finish that shows just a touch of heat. Really nice wine. I prefer it to the 2003. B+/A-
