inky deep purple color, spicy plums and blueberries on the nose, a hint of licorice, blackberry, on the palate big and smooth with a ripe and polished fruit that is just shy of being overdone- thus leaving a great and even thrilling impression, with time the fruit core became truly joyous with its punchy fruit subtly studded with spice notes, excellent length, wonderful wine.

My oh my, get out the rye bread and mustard, it’s grand Salami time! (Miss you Dave Niehaus). This was fantastic. Still many years ahead of it, and it will get better, but was off the charts good. Great nose of lavendar, vanilla, maybe a little cedar and tobacco in both nose and palate. Was right there with the day I married my wife!

An absolute beauty from Russell Bevan that won out at another fantastic wine dinner with the FM group. Decanted for 3 hours. Opens up big and complex, with a nose of dark fruit, spice, and pencil lead. Still dark and brooding, it is an incredible mouthful of blackberry, dark current, cassis, espresso and black licorice. Stays complex yet voluptuous. Tannins were perfect. It won handily in a blind tasting over a 2006 San Leonardo, 2008 Beau Vigne reserve, 2005 Continuum, and a 2010 Lokoya Howell Mountain.

this is big Cab....lots of tannin's...not ready for consumption! Maybe in 2032......it tastes like a jammy fig type Cabernet

Magnificent. Not sure what “perfect” is for a product that is so variable, but if this isn’t it I’m not sure what is. Drink or hold.
