Bright young red-purple color, at first opening an assertive but broad nose of blackberry and cherry fruit with a wonderful complexity of floral notes, on the palate fine depth, mid-weight dark berry-driven fruit leading into a long and slightly peppery austere finish, with time the fruit develops a punchy character ala 2006 red burgundy, the finish settles a bit with time but still indicates this is going to demand 3 or so years for resolution, robust, seamless, the remains of the bottle 3 days later (no preservation techniques applied) were surprisingly vibrant, a very promising Spatburgunder- one of the finest I have ever tried.

bright pale yellow color, fine nose of melon, pear and honeysuckle, young grass, on the palate light and genteel but with very good depth, fine long fragrant finish, young days and showing well- but surely there is a good deal more to come with age.
