I really liked what this wine had to offer. Let it open in the bottle for a few hours but it didn’t need it. Sweet red fruits on the nose. Super sexy fruit driven flavors on the palate but no where near overripe with subtle tannins. What a great Pinot noir especially for the price. This deserves 92-94 points. Super easy drinker and doesn’t need food. Point diff was because of the timing of the tastings and the ease of consumption. In a great drinking window. Btw. I had this out of a magnum. Unsure of how a reg 750 would be at at this moment in time.

Funky nose of wet cardboard, probably TCA, damp basement, and a bit of red cherry. More acidic than most Phelps pinots and with much thinner body. This is the first Phelps wine I ever considered not drinking the entire bottle.

It had smooth tannin and acidity. Well balanced, but still bold California style Pinot
