WWC - JL (FWC): Tasted blind - what is funny here is that we were poured two glasses of this, from different bottles on accident. No one realized it was the same wine. There seemed to be definite bottle variation. First glass was light gold in color, with a nose of lemon, and little to no oak. Mineral on the palate with citrus flavors. I called an older Chablis. The second glass was a deeper gold color, and the nose, while similar, seemed more hot and oaky. It had much more of a Chardonnay typical profile, and I guessed a Cali chard.

Beautiful wine! Initial noise of stone fruit and tropical fruits. Clear and light straw in color showing no signs of age. Opened up after 1-2 hours and had med body, acid was med+ and alcohol had resolved. So complex! When aerating Viognier was present with floral and rich tropical fruits, when swishing had oily and earthy notes showing the Rousanne and when just enjoying was light and balanced clearly showing the Grenache Blanc. And after 2 hours in the bottle/decanter it all balanced out to a great wine!

I Coravin'd off a half of bottle and enjoyed with Chicken Marsala. This wine surprised me ... I knew I would like it, but not this much. Light weight and wonderful flavor ... so nice to drink. A harmonious blend of 52% Roussanne, 28% Grenache Blanc and 20% Viognier. Thank you Mr. Asseo!
