I thought this wine is still drinking great and probably had 3-5 years left of evolution. If this was in a line up of blind wines it may be mistaken for a pinot based on color and the nose. Light ruby red in color with ripe raspberry and strawberry on the nose and the long finish. Wish I had more than 1 bottle to drink!

One member wrote that the wine was deep purple - this is strange as mine was pale ruby. I double decanted the wine and let it air for several hours. The longer it breathed the better it became. Juicy raspberries with a long finish.

Deep purple color with a bouquet and flavor of raisins with a bit of brambles. Very high alcohol and over the hill: even Jackass Hill! Still drinkable, given its pedigree.
Double decanted, pale ruby, (looks & smells like a 10 y.o. pinot), raspberry with spice, soft/med. tannins, long finish; outstanding, ready to drink, prob. no rush

Incredibly light colored (Lighter than most Pinots) What is most incredible is at 17.5% this comes off incredibly balanced with absolutely zero heat. This actually seems tame.
Not necessarily as rich as priors, but quite good
