  • Very very nice, enjoyed the first of 2 bottles earlier tonight with Kim with grilled veal chops and shiitake mushrooms and she absolutely loved this wine. Would hardly have identified this as a petit sirah, much less a Greg Brown petit sirah, most closely resembled a mature Sonoma cab. Much softer, lighter, better balanced and more layered / complex then it's younger brethren, such as the ones that currently inhabit my cellar. Soft tannins, oak and fruit present but well balanced. Nose soft and muted nose with dark cherry, black pepper and cola. Primary flavors included well balanced oak, dark cherry, soft dark berry, a hint of mushroom and grilled meat developing late on the aftertaste. At this price point a good QPR, definitely recommend this, would drink up any holdings though as I really don't see this getting any better.
