No rating. Trying to get after past-prime wines and this one should be all done. Fully expected to pour it out. Surprisingly tasty. It has a minty tactile thing going on ... fairly strong acid, faded tannins, raisins ... I'll say, I don't dislike this wine. An interesting experience.

This is a 17o bottle that was my gamble when i bought a dozen mixed bottles from different wine store. The cork crumbled with waiter's corkscrew. Used an Ah So and it came out pristine so i was optimistic...
Still opaque dark red, bright red fruit on nose, sweet redcurrant and raisin fruit, lush, thick, soft tannins, enough acidity to hold this together, It has a long appealing finish. This is much better than it has a right to be - delicious and I will return for another bottle.
BTW - I paid $44.99 for this bottle. I just saw the same vintage in another store for $79.99 New York wine prices are crazy.

Our final bottle. Unfortunately, past its prime. Still thick and heavy, still has fruit, but definitely some prunes in there. Still enjoyable but starting on the downside. Too bad...we've enjoyed many bottles over the years! Ric
