Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2010-02; Some Bordeaux including a small Cantemerle vertical (by JvD): Tasted from magnum. The color was like that of a 20 years old (tawny) port wine. The bouquet was rusty, but not unpleasant and there were even some red fruits. On the palate there was a lot of acidity, but not really unpleasant. The wine was not very lively, but certainly not dead yet. The finish was very short. Within the hour all the pleasant parts disappeared and it was only thin acidity that was left. Nevertheless it was a memorable experience. Not one of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, and of one of the worst vintages of the century, but at 50 years of age not completely dead yet. No score.
