Decanted 2 hrs. It's lack of faults make seem boring at first, but there is a lot there. There is a fair bit of sediment, so a careful decanting or filter is in order.

Lovely and nicely matured, yet lively. Blackberry, cigar box, tobacco, black cherry, and hints of forest floor. Enjoyed on half bottle, and the format must have accelerated the aging. Drinks very well now!

Had at not optimum conditions on the mountains and a bit cold but still a pretty wine and a good surprise. We did not know what to expect from a 2012 ( the menu suggested it was a 2016) but really worked well. Good fruit, decent amount of oak still which irons out the 2012 imperfections and probably this is at the best time now. 90-91
