The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, lime, apple, pear, apple blossom, almond, baker's yeast and bready. It tastes like grapefruit, lemon, lime, apple, pear, apple blossom, orange blossom, almond, baker's yeast, bready and leesy. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. Deep gold in colour. Nose of apple, cream, lemon and almond. Minerals, lemon, green apple, toast and grapefruit on the palate. Dry and medium-plus bodied with high acidity. Medium-plus effervescence with a medium-plus, fruity, crisp and toasty finish.

Lemon zest, fresh apples, fresh pears, peaches, wet stone, fresh baked bread (a southern US friend said biscuits!). Toes the line between linear/laser focused bubbles and a more rounded style. Excellent QPR, as with most Trento DOCs.

Italian Wine Scholar at the Texas Wine School. 100% Chardonnay. Traditional Method fermentation with at least 15 mos. on the lees. Pale straw with a green hue. Persistent and vigorous bubbles. Fresh aromas of yellow apple, ripe pear, lemon, white peach, sourdough bread and wet stone. Dry, with med (+) acidity, med alcohol (12.5%) and med (+) minerality. Very nicely balanced, with med (+) flavor intensity and length. Drink now, not intended for aging, although it should last for several years.

A genial sparkling chardonnay from the Trentodoc, the Altemasi Méthodo Classico Brut has an aromatic profile yellow apples and pears, white flowers and, lemon curd. It's crisp on the palate, with brisk, cascading bubbles and linear acidity. Lemon pith and wet shell at the close. 12.5% ABV | Sample
