Shared with friends on a guys weekend of hiking. Maybe not the right atmosphere for a Late Harvest - I didn’t dislike it, but it didn’t go over well with most. Jammy, but not as thick as I recall the Late Harvest Essence I drank several years ago.

Accidentally opened this. Dessert wine, very sweet and high alcohol, but not noticeable. It was nice, but definitely something to serve to a large group. Like drinking a port. No rush on my last bottle.

It had been a while since I opened one of these, as it seems more suited to sharing with a group than between two people. Smooth, pleasantly porty but still with the citrusy spice that seems to be present in all of the Ridge zins. A unique wine that does go really well with a chocolatey dessert or cookies. I have no doubts that my last bottle will hold strong for at least ten years if I want it to.

Pleasant. Concentrated fruit, nice viscosity and a round mouthfeel. Feel apart on the second night after being recorked.
