  • This opulent Ripasso begins with an array of aromatics including sweet-wet tobacco, smouldering cherries and mulberries gorged in Pastis coated in cow hide. Parades a richness on the tongue with raisins and prunes steeped in clove infused rum, chewy fruit skins and finishes with an oily impression that drifts on the palate for an elongated span of time.

  • Worked perfectly well with slow roasted duck with cherry sauce. What a great combination!

  • This is a great wine!! I bought 2 cases just from one experience. It is smooth with nice Amarone kinship!! HOWEVER!! Be very careful about laying this wine down. The corks used are crap! I have not yet had a bottle where the wine stain has not penetrated halfway to the top of the cork. We are drinking this as quickly as we can because 2 bottles, including the one we had tonight had stained all the way to the cork top revealed as you prepare to open,

It is really worth the money ($35), but be careful. And if you see an older bottle of this wine in the future on a shelf somewhere, you can probably be assured that it has need getting damaged!
