Tasted non blind with dinner. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about 90 minutes.
Garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of red berries and cherries. Flavors or red berries and raspberries. Bright acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink over the next few years.

Not your typical zesty and dense montepulciano, instead tending toward a more refined and elegant style - notes of boysenberry, cherry, currants and tobacco.

Notes of plum, vanilla and boysenberry with a subtle dusty, earthy undertone. Nicely balanced, with bright red fruit flavors and underlying acidity. Decent finish.
