Dark brown but not murky. Incredibly fresh and spicy bouquet of honeyed apricot, lemon zest, cinnamon, caramel. Ripping acidity over a red-hots candy, cooked peaches, cola concentrate palate. Long spiced apple butter finish. Brilliant Cali TBA, this is about as good as it gets.

(From a 375 ml.) Medium-deep clear brown in color. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of mature & developed, complex, very ripe fruit aromas of dried apricots, canned yellow peaches & citrus notes of lemons/limes & orange rind with honey, floral & hazelnut overtones, exotic spices, minerals, caramel, dark maple notes & dry sherry notes in the background. Medium-full to full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced, silky smooth textured, mature & developed, complex, unctuous, lush & plush, rich, very ripe fruit flavors of dried apricots, sweet yellow peaches, apples & crisp citrus with spices, minerals, hazel nuts, honey & caramel. Long lingering sweet finish. Drinks quite well at present and doubt any further development would occur from additional aging; drink it up if you have any. [Specs: Alcohol @ 7.3%; sugar at harvest 38% by weight; & residual sugar 25.4% by weight.] A lovely example of a domestic late harvest wine which has aged quite well.

Weird but kinda' good. Color is medium nut brown. On the nose, lemon, nut oil, and light spices. The palate reveals sharp citrus met with a sense of roasted honey. A bit of hot acidity finishes this wine. More like an Australian tawny or a sherry. Very interesting...thanks to Davids Kepes for bringing this wine.

Like drinking a cinnamon clove spiced apple pie. Marvelous.
