  • 2003 Les Brugueres, La Conreria d'Scala Dei, Priorat D.O.C., alc 13.5%, $31: Deep golden yellow...slightly waxy nose...very rich and unctuous on the palate...reminds me a bit of a Chassagne-Montrachet...(sure this is
Grenache Blanc and that is Chardonnay but still...)...the pear and apple flavors are soft and lightly spiced...a good showing of this wine

  • Very nice ... clean, crisp with good texture. Fresh melon, pear, and peach wrapped in a pure med-bodied package. Excellent with seafood.

  • Bought this a while back after hearing some interesting reviews on it. Made from 100% Garnacha Blanca from 100+ yr old vines, this wine had a rich goldish color with aromas of rose petals, peaches, lychees, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, there was an oily, creamy mouthfeel with flavors of pears, wet stone, and a hint of honey on the finish. This was an interesting one that reminded me of a hybrid Alsatian gewurztraminer and viognier blend. Not at all over the hill and drinking wonderfully now... with a little life left in it. HS91

  • Wine seemed to be past its prime. With that being said very interesting nose, yeasty and hints of rose petals. Deep gold color. On the palate the fruit was not vibrant. Decent acidity.
