Clear, deep, ruby to broad garnet rim, legs. Clean, developing nose of earth, damson, plum and vanilla. Dry, medium acid, medium persistent firm tannins, medium (+) alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavours of damson, blackberry and vanilla. Alcohol sticks out a little on the medium (+) length.
Very good, though alcohol sticks out a little. Further developed than I expected, the whole thing seems a little 'over cooked'.
Screwcap.

Deep crimson red colour, little hue. Aroma of dried oak and musk, bay leaf and herbs. Black fruit, raisin and clove. Pepper, licorce and leather. 14.4% alc but not evident in the aroma. Medium body, strong slightly harsh tannin. Acidic finish. The acidicity disappears after a couple of hours and becomes smoothly and slightly fuller.

Needs a few hours to open up. Pretty good but won’t last much longer.

This wine which was god awful in its' youth, has evolved to a very balanced drinkable shiraz.
