very old for a wine of this caliber...key is to decant or let breathe for 1 hour before drinking....gains weight, color, and comes together. pretty good if you're willing to do that. not surprisingly comparable to a 3rd / 4th growth Bordeaux

wow...cork and foil showed evidence of bleed thru...popped and poured in a couple of glasses and let sit for 15 mins. Nicely aged french style cab...very bordeaux-like. more left bank in structure...subtle blueberries, leather, soft tannins...integrated and nice food pairing wine.

I am a little perplexed by this bottle. Some lightening of red around the rim. Cedar, funky earth, graphite and white pepper on the nose. Nice black fruit, graphite and funky earth on the attack - long acid filled finish, but something off putting and bitter on the mid palate. I have the feeling this was pretty harsh and unyielding when young, has settled down some, but still has a wild streak.

This one needed more time to gain color and fruit...decanted for a hour.
