  • Very well rounded/balanced wine. Smooth tannins, medium acidity. Red Fruits on this nose and palate Probably peaked, could ride the plateau for a year or two. Don't wait too long if you have any. Drink real soon before decline. You will enjoy it.

  • Remarkably this was drastically better the second day. This structured wine delivered bright stewed plum fruit, dark chocolate and a pretty long finish. Really impressed and surprised how it improved overnight. Drinking window might start in a few years here. Hard to say

  • Had another taste from a 375 ml bottle. It took a few minutes to open up but it was worth the wait. Not as bold as when it was younger but now has a distinct taste of raisin on the palate. Drinking exceptionally well for a 12 year old California can. Drink up in the next year or two if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity.

  • Clear deep inky purple. Clean nose of medium plus intensity with aromas of cooked black plum, prunes, eucalyptus, vanilla, leather, meat. Wine is fully developed. On the palate it is dry with medium acidity medium tannins, high alcohol medium plus body, medium plus flavor intensity of tar, prunes, leather, chocolate cooked black fruit. The finish is medium. Very good wine. Drink now, it is perfect!! The primary fruit aromas are almost gone and tannins are very soft so I would not recommend further aging.

  • Sampled from a well-cellared magnum, this opaque crimson wine looks and tastes as though it was bottled yesterday. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec, 4% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, it delivers a rich payload of black currants, dark plums, bittersweet chocolate, baking spices and espresso. Full-bodied, low-to-medium in acidity and with nicely integrated alcohol, it is impressively dense on the mid-palate. Despite 22 months of aging in French oak (80% new), the wine's wood component is complementary rather than overbearing. The tannins are plentiful but fine-grained, adding a bit of grip on the lengthy back end. Those holding comparably cellared magnums will most appreciate this wine after a bit more cellaring. It may merit an even higher score in the future. Drink 2020-2030.
