I have really come to appreciate this release from Cliff Lede. A little pricey but always delivers. Raspberry, cherry, mocha and mint on the palate. Nicely balanced with integrated tannins.

This wine continues to impress in so many ways. The dark fruit is balance by the earthy characteristic (maybe from the high percentage of Malbec) that gives this wine a left bank look a like. Good depth and texture. This wine drinks well above its price point. Good juice.

After a two hour decant, this wine show like a mid range left bank Bordeaux from a warm vintage. Dark fruit is complimented by graphite, tilled soil and unsmoked pipe tobacco. Wonderful depth and texture. Medium weight but incredibly balanced. It might be a typical for the Napa standard these days, but this is very well done.

This is likely the most approachable of the Lede offerings at an early age and represents their left bank Bordeaux style blend. This was really very good after about 45 minutes. More full bodied than most bordeaux, I suspect this has a fairly high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Lots of cherry, raspberry, some mocha, a touch of mint and clove. Medium tannins add backbone. This had a full, medium finish.
