Not decanted and likely doesn’t need it except for a little sediment. Pepper, leather and cigar along with currant and blackberry notes. Expressive nose and palate. Balanced and at once mature and fresh. Pleasant acid kick on the long finish. At peak and the best Match experience I’ve had yet.

Decanted for sediment. Dark crimson color. Fantastic nose of blackberry, black cherry, mint, a bit of oak char, and dark chocolate with just a hint of pyrazine in the background. Similar flavors on the palate with lush, black fruit flavors, toasty oak, chocolate and spice. Medium+ acid and tannin. So much to like about this wine including the long life ahead of it. Drinking great now though and paired perfectly with a grilled 60 day dry aged ribeye.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of melted black licorice, a hint of vanilla, thistle and black cherries. Flavors of black raspberries, black cherries and black berries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink with some air or continue to hold.

Pop and pour, consumed over 2 hours. Nose: Light-medium expressiveness, black pepper, candy - sweet tarts, saline, and eucalyptus. Palate: Medium bodied, blue and black fruit attack - blueberry and blackberry, good balance, a little spice kick thru the mid-palate, thins a bit thru the back-end, but the flavors that persist, spicy dark fruit and earthiness, are pleasant and linger thru a 30-45 second finish.
