Opened and decanted for an hour during dinner at Craft Urban (no corkage). Aromas of black fruit, cedar and leather. Flavors of dark fruit, plum, cassis, leather and violet. Lovely mature CA cab that is drinking very well after a short decant. Should hold at this level for a while.

My first Match and meh. Nothing wrong with it. Well integrated and ready to drink now, light in color. Soft and pleasant... just, OK? Nothing to bring me back for another sip, other than being easy to drink. Not worth the price of admission either. I have a few more Match to try, so hopefully this is just an off vintage.

Bot this from Vineyard in 07 and had it last weekend with steak from the grill. Fantastic Cali Cab. Drank a bottle 4 years ago and was tight. Now softened beautifully but with great structure. Perfect wine for steak. Went to Match Vineyard website and they are going out of business. Small micro vineyard couldn't make it. Most bottles are now 45$ down from $75. I bot 18 bottles from 05-10. $45 is not cheap, but this is a great value of an aged Cali Cab. The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like red currant. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral, medium toast and oak.

Just a decent bottle of CA cab. Nothing special or no big wow factor. My only bottle and glad I finished it off. It is at the end if it's drinking window.
