A bit disappointing. My last bottle some two years ago was fresh, almost primary. Try is one comes across as a bit advanced. The fruit is quite subdued and the finish is a bit dry. I would expect more from the producer, vineyard and vintage. Watch these carefully or risk holding too long.

Purchased on release. This was a bit leaner and less fruit-driven than a 2010 Larkmead Firebelle consumed alongside it, but offered a fascinating comparison. Still a bit primary, with great depth of flavor and plenty of length. Somewhat savory, layered and complex, with dark berry and pit fruit notes and minerality. Silky floral notes emerge on the finish. I am eager to see how these evolve.

Decanted for 2 hours, it's aging nicely, Big Bold Full Bodied with plenty of Tannins remaining, Drank over a period of around 4 hours and didn't really change a lot. Green Pepper, Smoked Salami and Leather on the nose, Dark Fruit, Vanilla, and Plum on the Pallet.
Very impressive overall. This is a big wine. Big tannins upon opening. Big fruit coating a thick palate. Full bodied. Blackberry, cassis, leather and a hint of graphite. The next day the structure subsides and sweeter tones emerge. I prefer day one. This wine is much more compelling with the tannins and with food. Drink now. Seems like it's close to peaking based on the day 2 observation.

Black cherry. Moderate tannins. Very ripe. A little heat. Good but the Stagecoach had more depth.
