Tasted as part of a 2017 virtual tasting hosted by Spring Valley with their winemaker as host. This was the 2nd bottle of Uriah we have had, and we continue to be delighted with how much it exceeds our expectations every time. Basically 60% Merlot and 40% Cab Franc, this would be a blend we would likely avoid. But understanding the magic that winemaker Serge has with blending, we find this to be big, bold, tasty, strong and yet not Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine would be both great as an everyday wine, or as one to both impress and stump your friends with.

Great alternative blend. Smooth and paired perfectly at the steakhouse. Not overpowering.

Always outstanding. Smells of cigar and leather. Inky and berries on the mouth.
